TEACH CHILDREN MUSIC!
I think that I will not be mistaken in saying that many parents of preschool children are thinking about how to develop a child, how to determine his abilities, what activity will be useful and interesting to him.
Turning to the experience of past eras, we can say that at all times there was a constant connection of creativity and creation with nature. It is known that the ancient Greeks noticed the beneficial effect of music on the thought process. An example is the connection of science and music in the teachings of Pythagoras and his followers.
The connection of knowledge and art was noted by O. Wilde: “The blessing given to us by art is not in what we learn from it, but in what we become thanks to it.” G. Berlioz wrote: “In music, both feeling and reason are manifested.”
Music, being a side of the general culture, affects the way of thinking, activity and behavior of a person, forms his spiritual and moral essence.
Geneticist VP Efroimson, author of Genetics and Genius, convincingly showed that humanity did not survive through the use of force and suppression, but “because there were opportunities for selfless action in the human soul.” The Russian philosopher A.F. Losev, describing, according to N. Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera “The Snow Maiden” as a “musical sensation of love and nature,” indicates that it “collects the soul and gives it a center.”
Schooling, excluding the spiritual and moral orientation, will not ensure professional success. It is effective only to the extent that it manages to awaken the human in man – his spirituality, will, interest in self-knowledge. The presence of spirituality turns a person into a person who understands, feels, and is able to bear responsibility for his actions.
According to Ph.D. N.A. Terentyeva, “art contains a grandiose program of the spiritual development of man.” The beautiful exists when it is perceived, experienced, created. This must be taught from childhood. From infancy, a person perceives sound, then speech appears. The baby already perceives the lullaby of the mother as protection, peace. With age, the sound environment grows and the child gives off a pleasant sounding of songs and other music. It is necessary to use this interest for the benefit and for the development of the child.
The musical “language” is akin to speech. It has phrases and sentences, commas and periods, questions and exclamations. Music is very structural. Large works are divided into parts, and those, in turn, into small fragments. Children who know how to listen to music “bypass” their peers in structural thinking. While playing music, the child develops mathematical abilities. He thinks spatially, manipulates with abstract sound figures, remembers the musical text.
Classical music strengthens a person’s memory. Her regular listening stimulates the brain. The “Mozart effect” is known when young children, listening to the music of the great Austrian, develop intellectually faster. Pythagoras claimed that musical art affects the psyche and contributes to its health. It is known that music as a subject of hobbies, a means for discharge, is one of the wonderful activities. Music lovers were such famous people as Turgenev, Stendhal, Russo, Rolland, Einstein.
Musical studies educate the will and discipline, teach to save time, not to waste it, because you need to do it regularly, without days off and holidays. Studying music is a character education. Musicians are more patient, kind-hearted, prone to sympathy than their peers.
Studying at a music school is not only a step towards professionalism, but also a broad aesthetic development and communication. Over the years of training, a child-musician gets acquainted with the work of composers from different countries, with different musical characters, learns to transform into them with the help of sounds.
Music making is a tradition of all aristocrats, Russian and European. Among music lovers there are people of outstanding education. They know how to listen, finding peace of mind. People who play and sing better speak, write, memorize, learn languages, pronounce foreign words.
So, the child came to music school. The beginning of classes is a very crucial period in the life of a little musician. The continuation of education and its success depends on whether the child will be interested in the classes and whether he succeeds in what the teacher requires of him. At this time, the participation of parents and their help in homework is very important.
It is important to remember that homework should be systematic, regular and reinforce the skills learned in the lessons. However, given the still short learning time and the child’s inability to perform musical works, it is useful to listen to the performance of children’s instrumental “program” music – for example, dance pieces (“Minuet”, “Polka”), fine (“Lullaby”), etc. . character. The idea of the sound of your favorite instrument is a good incentive.
Most often, a lesson with a beginner is informative and entertaining in nature.
